"Sally," Sharon said.
Her body's head turned towards her and smiled. "I've got a twin!" she yelled excitedly, then jumped off the sofa. "We can play dollies together!"
Sharon grabbed her body, which was actually her daughter. "Sally, I'm not your twin. I'm your mother. I know this is hard to understand, but we're in each other's bodies."
"You're my mother?" Sally asked, with an odd expression on her face. Then that expression turned into a smile. "You wanna play house? Then I get to play the daddy!" she yelled, excitedly. She just wasn't getting it.
Sharon needed help. By now, there must have been someone around who knew how to fix this.
Thinking that there might have been something wrong with her phone (and there was, at the time she called her sister, but not now), she decided to head to the police station down the street. As long as she didn't touch anyone, it would be safe enough.
She still didn't understand how this could be happening. Jane's hometown was over thirty miles away. It was an isolated incident, which only engulfed the town and a small area around it. Was this happening in other towns too, all around the country ... or even around the world?
She opened the front door and stepped out, not watching what she was doing. And just a moment later, she collided with someone.
"Where are you going, little girl?" she heard a voice say.
