The knocking persisted.
"Aren't you going to open the door?" Meagan asked.
Karyn and Jon exchanged worried glances. There was only one reason why all those cops and agents were at Jon's house - they must have known that he started this plague of swaps. And they were here to arrest him. Though, he wasn't sure they could legally arrest him for doing something like this (which, before today, was unheard of), but he didn't want to push it ... if he found himself in that situation. At the moment, he stayed right where he was. And Karyn did too. The best way to avoid getting arrested was simply to not open the door.
Unfortunately, Meagan didn't share their unease. Probably since she didn't know who was outside.
Before Jon could stop her, she opened the door, revealing a man in a black suit and tie. He held up his ID and said "I'm Special Agent Steven Kendall, FBI."
Karyn pulled Jon out of sight, and they watched from around the corner, as the agent pulled out a piece of paper. He looked from the paper to Meagan, then back to the paper again. "This is him. This is Jon Madison," he declared, putting the piece of paper away. "Take him."
"Wait, I'm not ..." Meagan said, before she was grabbed and gagged by two police officers. From what Jon could tell, both officers had already been swapped, unless they were now hiring children into the police force.
Agent Kendall took a moment to glance around the inside of the house, then closed the door.
"They think that Meagan is me," Jon said, with wide eyes.
