Ultimately, all of the occupants of House 38 returned to the living room to try and assess what was going on.
Sarah was the loudest of them. "Look at this," she insisted to the others.
Karyn grinned at her, a bit wickedly. "I think you got exactly what you deserved."
Sarah lunged at her, and Linda pulled her off. "Stop that," she said, firmly. "We're in this together."
"Yes, bad dog," Karyn said.
"Karyn, keep quiet," Jon said.
"Maybe we should call someone..." Susan said. "Withdraw from this whole thing."
The TV flickered to life again. "We did ask you to try and act your parts," the man said. "Arguing about them will do no good. We will expect everyone to start going about their business."
"Are they watching us?" Susan asked.
"Obviously," Karyn replied.
"Everything is monitored here," the man said. "Now, what seems to be the complaint exactly?"
"I am a grown woman...I am not going to pretend to be a little boy," Susan said. "This is not what I signed up for."
"And I'm not going to walk around the neighborhood buck-naked, with everyone staring at me, and pretending to be a dog..." Sarah said. "You did this to my mother and I on purpose."
"There was no personal bias in the decisions. Anyone else?"
Linda looked at the screen. "I can't pretend to be married to my son. That's too much like incest." Jon nodded.
"And I don't want to have cooties," Mikey said.
"And that leaves you, Keiron. What seems to be your concern?"
Karyn shrugged. "Well, I don't like it, but aside from the mess, it isn't so bad."
"That's a very mature attitude, young man. Your family could all learn from it. I'm afraid though, that the problem here is that you are still approaching this from your former identities. I'm afraid you may need more coaching."
The entire family's eyes glazed over once more.
