Jon held up the watch. "As a matter of fact, according to this I am. And if you can't act respectful to Susan, you can go to your room."
Karyn headed off, mumbling under her breath.
Jon turned to Linda. "Do you think she's acting a bit odd?"
Linda shrugged. "This whole situation is a bit odd, dear," she pointed out. "They did say something about nano-bots...and I don't even remember getting dressed into these costumes."
"I didn't even know nano-bots existed outside of sci-fi movies," Jon replied. "Who knows what they are doing to us?"
Susan tugged on Jon's blouse. "You're ignoring me," she said.
"What exactly are you expecting us to do?" Jon said, a bit pointedly.
"Don't know," Susan said, shifting from foot to foot. "I just don't like this."
"Well, if you have any ideas...tell us."
Susan slunk off. Jon looked around. "Where did Sarah wander off to?" He said, realizing he and his mother were suddenly alone again. "I just can't shake this feeling in the pit of my stomach that there is something I'm missing about what's going on."
Linda put her arm around Jon supportively. "Relax, dear. I think you're handling it very well."
