As their porcine guide lead the them to their destination, Jon's mind was racing. They said the transformation was permanent, but she could always use the stone to wish it away, right? However, this could be considered 'something interesting' what if she couldn't change back. Did she even want to? Jon flushed in embarrassment as that last thought came to mind. She'd just had the most amazing (and only) sexual encounter in her life and it had been as a girl! She glanced once more at her lover, the tall handsome bull-taur still seemingly in a daze, and realized she didn't even know his name! She remembered then that she had not even brought the stone with her on the trip! She'd left it with Karen with explicit instructions to not use it and call her if anything 'weird' happened. this was a class-A mess! Jon thought, mooing softly in distress.
Meanwhile, The group made their way towards a forest green modular-type building situated in a clearing at the end of the path. Solar panels vied for space with antennas on it roof, and a the humm of a generator could be heard faintly over the guide's nonstop ramblings, "And down the path from here are the researcher bunkhouses, built ecologically safe of course ...." Most of the group were too preoccupied to listen or were actively tuning him out by now. "And here we are, the director's office, project Eden HQ." Cue blank stares, "Well come on then, I didn't lead you here for nothing!" the sow -man exclaimed flustered. One by one the small group entered through the sliding glass door specially built to accommodate large frames.
Jon didn't know what she expected as she entered the office, but it wasn't this! mmmmm air conditioning, Jon thought, the cool air a welcome reprieve from the hot midday sun. The inside was sparely decorated, and had several (messy) workstations spaced throughout. Wires, empty coffee cups, tablets, research notes, and computers were spread across several tables. At the far end was a large desk equally filled with scientific clutter. The room's sole occupant was situated behind said desk lounging in an old leather computer chair. Her attention solely focused on the inside of her eyelids hand-held tablet forgotten in her hands. The 'director as it turned out was an anthropomorphic Puma wearing a light green blouse and khaki shorts, her paws rested on the desk as she snoozed.
"Ahem" the pig-man, " clearing his throat exclaimed, "Madam director! You shouldn't be napping at a time like this!" The sow-man clearly working himself into a frenzy.
The cougar-woman opened an eye languidly and yawned widely showing off her impressive dental armament. Which only seemed to rile the porcine guide up further. "Oh come off it Francis," the cougar woman tiredly replied, "And don't call me 'director' or any such nonsense, I keep telling you just to call me Carol. You're always so stuffy." Just then she noticed the other occupants of the room. "Linda? That you? Oh you did come, and you brought Jack too." The cougar-woman leaped over the desk to envelop the deertaur in a hug. "Oh you're so cute as a deer, sis. Did you bring the Kids too?" Carol continued on not letting her sister get a word in edgewise.
