When she woke up, she found Mikey standing over her, studying her face curiously. "What do you want, squirt?" Jon groaned.

"You look different," Mikey stated.

This brought a chuckle from her sister. "Well, duh. I wasn't exactly a spider-girl a day ago."

Mikey shook her head. "No, I mean, you look different from last night."

"How?" Jon asked, feeling her face.

"I dunno. But you're..." She waved her hand helplessly before shrugging. "-different."

Jon frowned at this. How had she changed? Then she noticed something about Mikey. The girl also seemed to have gone through a few adjustments. She seemed older, more developed. Where before, she had been rather flat-chested, she now displayed a budding pair of breasts, plus the beginnings of a feminine figure. The light brown hair that had once barely brushed her shoulders now hung to her waist. Her height had also increased, bringing her a bit closer to Zoe's level.

Speaking of which

"Where's Zoe?"

Mikey shrugged. "She didn't show up. Mom and Dad are going to look for her after breakfast."

Jon glanced around. "Where are they?"

"They went out to the cafeteria building. They let me stay with you."

"Oh." Jon sat up and crawled from her self-made hammock. Still wondering about Mikey's words, she searched for a mirror but found none. She would have to see if she could find one elsewhere. "Is there a bathroom?"

Mikey pointed outside. "It's in another building. I can take you there."

"Okay, thanks. I'll be quick, and then, we can go get some food."

"White pellets," Jon sighed, shaking her head. "Now I know how spiders do their business. Well, at least it seemed more sanitary than the old human way."

"But you found the right pit, right?" Mikey asked, scuttling along beside her sister as they made their way through the trees towards the cafeteria

"Yeah. It's nice they put up signs and instructions. I guess, when you're dealing with tons of different species, a bathroom that caters to all of them would naturally be a maze."

Their conversation trailed off for a bit before Mikey mumbled, "I hope Zoe's okay. Where'd she go?"

Jon patted the other spider-girl on the back, the slap of her palm against her sister's soft skin causing some momentary awkwardness. She had meant to pat her shoulder, but Mikey had clearly gained some height along with her accelerated maturity.

"Don't worry," Jon said quickly. "She'll be back before you know it."

At this point, the cafeteria came into view from around a small copse of trees, and the sisters picked up their pace. It was breakfast time!
