"Well," the facilitator said, "I think that I am starting to see at least some of the problem. Tell me Zoe...what do you think your family's problems are?"
"They won't let me do what I want...Like, my Dad doesn't approve of anything I do. Like he's so perfect."
"Interesting," the facilitator said. "Maybe we should try a role playing exercise. Mark, I want you to put yourself in the role of a teenage girl. Not Zoe...what you think a teenage girl should be like. The one you keep expecting Zoe to be. Zoe, I want you to put yourself in the role of a parent. The type of parent you want to have, not the type Mark is."
Both Mark and Zoe suddenly felt dizzy.
