Jon couldn't stop these questions from running through her mind over and over again. What if she didn't like it? What if she liked it? If she went back to being a guy, and she was disgusted by the memory, but she couldn't forget...or what if she found that she liked it so much that...that she missed it? That she wanted to go back to being a girl? What if she spent the whole rest of her life pining for something she'd never wanted in the first place?
Wait. What was she thinking? She had the stone! Not here, but at home; if she were plagued by memories, she could wish herself to forget...or simply make it so that she remembered but didn't feel wronged or obsessive about what she found unpleasant. Or...if she found that she couldn't go back to...oh God. Oh, was that a terrifying thought. She could change herself into a girl. D-did she want that, even to be able to do that? One hasty wish could change the entire course of her life...
"You're trembling," Mulan said. "Are you still scared?"
Jon nodded, her lip quivering. He bent down and kissed her gently on the cheek, pulling her close to him. She could feel his erection pressing against her again, and...she wanted it. She wanted him. She wanted this whole thing...but she was so scared of what might happen, of what her future would be like if she went through with it. But...this helped. She felt...safe...in his arms. Her arms? No, his. They'd been hers, but right now they were his, and they were wrapped around her, holding her close but not too tightly.
"You don't need to be scared," he whispered. "I remember what it's like to be me, remember? I know how you feel. I'll treat you right, Jon, believe me."
Funnily enough, she did believe him. The last barriers were broken down now...okay, she was still a little scared, but she trusted him, and the thought of doing this with someone who knew this body as well as she knew her own was tantalizing. She wanted him...badly. She stood on tip-toes and grabbed his head, pulling him into a kiss. That lasted for a long moment, and she gasped for breath when they broke it.
Mulan smiled and released her from his arms. She frowned, sad that the embrace was over, but before she had a chance to complain, he had reached out to her. Taking the hem of her shirt in his hands, he lifted it up - over her breasts, then over her head, gently sliding her arms out the sleeves, carefully threading it around her head and lifing it away as she felt her hair fall back to her shoulders.
She smiled and began to work on his shirt; one button at a time, starting at the top and working her way down until they were all undone, then fished it out of his pants. She'd been a little annoyed that she had to wear a button-up shirt to the event, but if nothing else, it was easy to take off. She stared; Jon's body was not exactly an Adonis, his chest not particularily ripped, but to her, it looked inviting.
He reached down now, unbuttoning her pants, sliding them down her slender legs, until they were crumpled up at her feet, and she stepped out of them, working her socks off with her toes. She unzipped his jeans and did the same, pausing for a moment to stare at the tent in his underwear, feeling a rush of those same unfamiliar but intriguing feelings, then continued.
She stood back up slowly and gazed into his eyes. They stood before each other now in nothing but their underwear. This was it...there was no turning back after this. Right now she could still run out into the hall and try to find a coat to cover up with and hide until it was all over, if she wanted to...
...but she didn't want to. She had had her fill of anticipation; now she wanted to go through with this. Mulan led her over to the bed, and she followed willingly.
