The food was excellent and the alcohol was superior leaving her feeling warm and happy. She enjoyed having companions around her who felt like friends. Erica had always felt the need to be in control, to control the rage within but with the spirit of the wolverine gone, she could let herself go and have some fun.
“Tell me some stories of your great exploits,” Erica ask her companions. She leaned forward to listen, enhancing her cleavage as her breasts pressed against the table.
“I took down the Devil Boar,” Vincent spoke up first. “The beast had been terrorizing several towns and ran off livestock.”
“It takes a good shot to slay a giant boar, I would love to see your shooting sometime.”
“One little pig and you think he is a master of the bow. I helped turn back the army of Dreze in the last war while you were on your little pig hunt,” Earl Bucks chimed in. “I was going up against armored legions and dark spellcasters.”
“Yeah, you and thousands of others,” Baron Wilcox teased his friend. “Why aren’t you down facing him and his advancing army right now?”
“King Emeril has issued no call to arms,” Bucks responded. “To form an army without the permission of the king is a death sentence, isn’t that true Prince.”
“I wish I could tell you more than you could hear from the town gossip but my Father keeps his plans secret. His actions are strange as the fear in the people grows he seems to take no action to comfort them.”
“Don’t worry about your old man,” Erica gently stroked the arm of the Prince causing a blush to rise in the cheeks. “He probably has some adventurer doing something behind the scenes but if you want we can check things out, it might even have something to do with those dwarfs we saw earlier.”
“Thank you for those words of comfort,” Prince Alex said. “You know we don’t have to part company anytime soon. I think I speak for all of my friends when I say we are enjoying your companionship and if you wish we can follow you on your journey or you can join us on ours. We have no special plans, so why not take up a quest together.”
