The change hits Karas hard this time. She tries to hurry back to the room. She realizes how foolish she was to go off alone. If only she make it back, she won't make that mistake again. Karas notices the world again becoming larger around her as she loses her balance. Her coordination doesn't help her catch herself as she fall to the ground. She tries to stand but she again falls down unable to get her balance. Karas realizes she is no longer the master of her own body. An uncoordinated baby lays on the ground practically swallowed up by her dress. Karas tries to form words to call for help no longer caring from where it comes. The words come out in the form of wails of a small infant.
The night air is struck by cries of the baby and reach Mary who noticed and responded to them. Mary awoke to find Karas missing and went looking for him fearing the worst. A child alone at night in a strange town could get into a lot of trouble. Even, a child who once was a great warrior. The curse could strike again at anytime and a little girl would certainly be frightened to find themselves with no familiar faces in sight. She rushed off into the cool night air running down the street. When she heard the wail of a baby in distress she instinctively rushed over. By the time she reached the source she found an infant in the dress she last saw Karas in. Mary scooped up the infant and began to rock her back and forth talking softly to her as she made her way back to the room.
