Kelos waited for Mary to fall asleep before wandering out of the room. She felt restless and unable to sleep. Kelos snuck out of the room making her way into the street. She stayed to the shadows moving silently. She noticed only a few people on the street avoiding their notice. The loss of self that loomed over her. The cool night air helped free her from her worries.
Though bigger then Shadow Brook the down was hardly a hub of night activity. A few bars held lively entertainment and a single brothel were the only night life and they remained mostly self contained. The patrons rarely left them, remaining till they decided or forced to go home.
Kelos enjoyed watching the contrast of the quiet streets and the boisterous noise that drifted out of the these places of ill repute when a patron left. Kelos remained in the shadows just observing the coming and going of patrons. It left her not thinking about his problems. When she was male she never took part the activities in those places. Loss of control of even then was one of her top concerns. A twinge of regret that the pursuit of money she'd never spent it on creature comforts. Kelos began to feel strange...
