Lightning bolts of fire sprang from Niobe's fingers. They rippled and spread over Snape's body, until it was hidden in a cocoon of green light. She lowered her hands, and the lightning fell away. The cocoon however, continued to swirl around the Professor's body. It pulsed and shrank, tightening it's grip. Until, it took on the unmistakable outline of Severus Snape. It looked for all purposes like a statue, except for the roiling green surface, rolling like a tempestuous sea.
"Now, she weel, have to deal with men, like 'er." Niobe addressed her words to Harry.
Harry stayed quiet, not sure what to say, if anything. The nymph was clearly still angry, and Dobby trembled as he stood by Harry's side.
Niobe turned her attention back to the whirling cocoon of energy. The emerald green flared, taking on a sickening pinkish hue. The pink deepened in colour until the green was a memory. As the colours battled, the outline within the cocoon shifted. The differences were subtle at first, a slight thinning at the waist, and a narrowing of the shoulders. The outline of Snape's legs shifted, becoming smoother and rounder.
Harry was relieved to see that she had developed a modest bust. He'd been afraid that his least favourite professor would be transformed into a voluptuous minx. That being said, he doubted that the teacher would see things in quite that light.
Apparently satisfied, Niobe snapped her fingers, and the cocoon shattered, large fragments of light scattering to the distance, revealing a transformed Severus Snape, for all to see.
Snape shot an furious glare at Harry, "Fifty points from...."
"Ahem...." Niobe interrupted. "I don't think you want to do that. Anger begets anger, and you don't want to end up on my bad side."
Dobby clung to Harry's leg, half hiding behind him. Niobe stood proudly, defiantly, ready to dispense further justice.
Severus' new nostrils flared, and she spun on the spot and stormed from the room.
"Is it ... is it permanent?" Harry asked.
