"Velcome back Herr Jon and Frauline Karyn," a strange older man in a white lab coat said in a strong German accent. "Ve vere vaiting on you to arrive so that ve van begin the next experiment."

Jon assumed the man before him was the Doctor von Schtupple that Tiffany had mentioned escorting Karyn and himself to the lab. The Doctor walked gingerly up to Karyn and looked her over for a moment. "It seems yesterday's experiment vas a complete success. Tell me Frauline, are you experiencing any side effects? Dizziness? Veekness in your knees?"

Jon noticed a puzzled look on Karyn's face as she answered. He knew she had worked out that the stone had altered reality to blame her physical changes on this guy, but he still knew she had no idea that he wasn't supposed to be here until Jon accidentally made his wish for something "interesting" to happen.

Satisfied by Karyn's responses, Dr. von Schtupple turned to address everyone else who was there, Jon, Sarah McMillan (who apparently participated with Karyn yesterday), and Tiffany (one of Sarah's friends). "As you see, the ointment allowed for us to 'copy' Frauline Sarah's features and 'paste' them onto Frauline Karyn. The changes vere only cosmetic in nature so rest assured that each of you vill be completely fine."

"Now that ve have ascertained that the experiment is a success ve shall move on to stage 2 of the experiment. Frauline Tiffany and Herr Jon, I vill need you two to change into the scrubs behind those changing areas and then apply this ointment to the areas marked in black. And if either of you are having thoughts of backing out of the experiment, remember that participation vill exempt you from all of your homeverk and test assignments for the remainder of the year."

Jon wasn't sure what to think when he walked behind the changing station and saw the blackened area of the scrubs. Just how much would be changed by this quack's experiment. Jon, having one of those days, muttered to himself, "Of course, I would choose to leave the stone at home today."
