(Author's note: I liked Anonymous51's version...I usually do, by the way, but the random fighting didn't fit in my opinion. Since I wanted to work off it, I made a subtly different version.)
Tiffany headed to her locker, occasionally scratching her arms, but not really paying it much thought. On her way, she spotted a couple of guys getting into a heated argument about cars. Normally, she'd just roll her eyes, thinking that boys and their cars were so stupid, and just keep on walking. But now, for some reason, she found the argument interesting. The two boys were heated and it seemed that any moment now fists might be flying.
"Man, I'd love to see his ride," Tiffany muttered to herself.
She blinked suddenly. What was she thinking? She scratched her arms again. She wasn't interested in cars...other than looking good in them.
Unknown to her, the disease that she had caught (cooties) was making her act more and more like a tomboy. The cooties disease didn't always have that specific effect on people, but it did in Tiffany's case. Generally, the disease affected people by causing them to adopt characteristics most often associated with the opposite sex, but that was not a hard and fast rule. The degree of change and characteristics depended on the person.
Aggressive individuals would often become sensitive, or vice-versa. In Tiffany's case, this would completely change her status within the school.
