His mother returned to his side. "They don't have anything right for a young boy," she said. "The man said this is a theatrical costume shop...for people in movies and plays. Not really for Halloween."
"It's cool," Brandon said. "There's lots of cool stuff here," he insisted.
"Well, we're going now," she said. "We'll have to find something at home, maybe."
They headed out of the store and back to Mary's car.
