"I said we'll go in a minute. We're not finished talking, so she'll just have to wait five seconds," he said.
"Trevor...think very carefully about what you are saying, and how you are saying it..." Brandon said.
Trevor turned to her. "I don't tell you how to raise your mother," he said. He looked at Elizabeth. "Why did you scare her?" He asked, in a rather stern voice.
"Didn't do anything," Elizabeth repeated.
"Well, if you say you are sorry..."
"But..."
"No buts, Mommy," he said, firmly.
Elizabeth walked over to Mary. "Sorry," she said, reluctantly.
Mary let go of Brandon. "Really?" She asked, turning toward Elizabeth.
"Yes," Elizabeth said, without enthusiasm.
Mary was apparently easily forgiving, the wide grin reappeared on her face. "Wanna play?"
Elizabeth looked over at Trevor and Bobby. "Well, we have to take everyone to school, I don't think we have time to play."
"Why don't you go play for a few minutes?" Trevor said. "So the kids can talk."
Elizabeth didn't wait. She let Mary pull her out of the room.
Brandon looked over Trevor with suspicion. Meanwhile, Bobby had been oddly quiet since Trevor started acting this way. Brandon was so focused on Trevor that he didn't notice what Bobby was up to...
