The first strangest thing was how easily she recognized her own reflection, despite all the changes. Despite being in no way familiar, it instantly registered as her own reflection.
But when she got past that, Brandon found herself gaping both at the extent of her body's changes, and how little her appearance resembled either her old self or that of Mary's...
She looked to be in her late twenties, maybe a bit older. But she was certainly younger than Mary had been.
She had blond hair that went down to her shoulders...Mary's hair had been brown, but had lightened into a darkish blond as well. She examined her figure... Not bad, she thought.
She tried to remember clearly. She'd been a little boy, but...how old? She could picture it, but it seemed so alien to her. Maybe she was finally starting to cope.
But she wasn't going to start believing this was a figment of her imagination, was she?
