After her dream about Karyn, Jonchelle had gone back to sleep. Before she knew it however, she was waking up to the sound of her alarm going off, 7:30. Groaning, she rolled over and shut it off. Although some of the details from her dreams were starting to fade, there were a few details that remained.
A wedding with Vanessa and Karyn. Reaching out for the stone, Jonchelle decided that she needed to make a wish.
“I wish that at school, Vanessa and I would share almost exactly the same schedules, and that new girls could join the cheerleading squad while new boys would be able to get on the football team and so on. I also wish that I would be able to join the cheer squad and that Vanessa would agree to try out as well when I asked her.”
Jonchelle smiled as the stone granted her wish, imaging both her and Vanessa in matching cheerleading uniforms.
With the wish out of the way, Jonchelle decided that she’d better get up. Placing the stone back in its resting place on the bedside table, Jonchelle climbed out of bed and crossed over to her wardrobe to decide on what to wear.
Figuring that they were going to be spending the day painting, she didn’t want anything too fancy, for fear that it would get ruined. However, during their shopping trip, they hadn’t planned for such an occasion; the least fuzzy option available was a purple fuzzy sweater and a pair of embroidered jeans.
Grabbing her underwear and a lavender robe, Jonchelle headed out to the bathroom; of her siblings, Jonchelle was the only one awake, but she could hear movement from her parents’ bedroom.
After her shower, Jonchelle shaved her legs again. Fortunately, there wasn’t as much hair as there was yesterday, but there was still a bit of growth, and Jonchelle wanted to keep on top of it in order to keep her legs nice and smooth. Heading over to the bathroom mirror, Jonchelle got to work on her makeup. She was eager to try some of the new products that she had brought although she hadn’t quite decided on a look yet.
Jonchelle spent most of her time in the bathroom trying out different looks, struggling to decide which looked best on her. Her decision was finally made however, when she was interrupted by a knock on the door.
“Come on, Chelle! I need to use the bathroom!” It was her brother, Zachary. Frustrated, Jonchelle made a noise and then decided to use what she had on.
“Alright, give me a few more minutes!” she called back as she finished her makeup.
“Finally!” her brother exclaimed when Jonchelle exited the bathroom. He chuckled. “Now I know why you guys always got so frustrated.”
Jonchelle nodded and returned to her room. Once inside she removed her robe and proceeded to get ready for the day. She put on a matching pair of purple bra and panties that she had picked out earlier, removed the towel around her hair and threw on her fuzzy sweater. The bra was still a bit of a struggle to put on, but Vanessa had assured her that with practice, she’d get used to it.
After the sweater she put on her jeans. They were a bit tight, but they were the smallest size that they had. Jonchelle made a mental note to keep up with her diet. Finally, came her accessories. She had brought a small selection at the mall yesterday along with getting her ears pierced, so she chose a couple of bracelets and a small pair of stud earrings.
Jonchelle looked at the clock. It had taken her almost an hour to get ready! Much longer than she was used to. No wonder Zachary was fed up. She made a note that she would have to get up a bit earlier than normal to get ready for school. Goodbye to those lie-ins.
Heading down for breakfast, Jonchelle could smell something cooking. Entering the kitchen she saw her mother and father standing at the stove; her mom was making pancakes and Dad was helping her.
“Morning, Mom and Dad,” she greeted them cheerily.
Mom looked up. “Morning, sweetie.” She was still practicing her feminine voice, as Jonchelle could detect a few slips in her tone.
“Morning, honey.” Dad greeted her. He was practicing a lower voice and it sounded a little rough. Even Jonchelle’s was a work in progress; she hadn’t got it quite right yet, though Vanessa had given her some tips on how to make hers perfect.
They had to wait until the pancakes were ready, and in that time, Jonchelle was joined by her younger siblings. Zachary had opted for a pair of sweatpants and a baggy blue tank top. Keira on the other hand, being 100% girly, wore a pink short-sleeved top with a matching pleated pink skirt and had her hair done up in pigtails.
“Dig in, everybody!” Mom declared proudly as she served up the pancakes that she had made for the first time—with a little bit of help from her husband of course.
“Wow, Mom! These look great. What’s the occasion?” Jonchelle asked as she took a couple. Mom shrugged her shoulders.
“No reason, I just thought that I’d do something a bit different from cereal, seeing as it’s the weekend. That, and I want to get started on my cooking.”
“These are great, honey,” Dad said through a mouthful. “Not bad for your first time.” Mom smiled.
“So who’s coming shopping with us?” She asked.
Zachary shook his head. “Not me, I’m actually happy with the way my room looks. Obviously I need to change a few things but I can do that on my own time. I’m going to go and hit the gym.”
Mom and Dad looked at each other.
“Ok, if you’re sure honey… Girls?” She looked towards her daughters who both eagerly nodded.
“Ok then, after breakfast we’ll get ready,” Dad announced. “Leave here in say, half an hour?” Everyone nodded, as that seemed reasonable.
