Most people have a social media site of some type, many have more than one. Nerds make their own, carve out a little section of the web for themselves, like their own personal island. Jay had a site, and it turns out so does Jade. But while Jay's site was a bunch of movie reviews and pop culture rants, Jades was decidly different. Jade had a burn blog, If you seen Mean girls then you know what a burn book is, this is that, only online. A bunch of rumors, gossip, true or untrue about basically everyone at school.

Both Jade and Delia were horroifed to find this, it seemed so petty, so cruel, but they read it, they read it all. Delia thought it was absurd, she was taken a back by the very idea of the site, and there was a part of Jade which shared that feeling, but as she read there was also a part of her that was fasionated with it. The more she read, the more she wanted to know, the more she saw the more something clicked in her brain that said "knowlege is power". Jay had often thought the same thing, but about facts and school work, this was about people, about secerets, about personal trivia. She found herself fixated on knowing things about people, she wanted to know as much as she could.

Delia watched as Jade went from generally interested in their change, to wholely focused on people, on little tidbits on friends and enemies, people she hadn't even known before, she wanted to know it all. Jade went from studious to inquisitive, from horrorfied at the site to defensive of it, from passive observer to hungry hunter. The change was much more noticable than it had been when Delia was diving into her past, and that caused Delia to pull them back from it. To just look at soical media like Facebook or twitter, which they did, but Jade felt something within herself as they looked at prom photos and went "back down the rabbit hole" of memories. Jade experianced what Delia did, remembering events that had never happened, but as she did, stories and secretes came to mind as well, stories which she hadn't read on the site because they were not as interesting or she didn't have reason to post. She had to share them, and as she did she found in herself a sort of master storyteller, one who was full of shock and personal drama, everything she recalled she did as if it was the end of the world happening live, and the speed at which she went on was beyound how she had ever talked before, it was like a valve in her had been released and the only way to find relief was to share, share, share. She slowly became convinced that what she had to say was of the utmost importance, and as such Delia listened impressed and entranced, fading into a sort of half memory of the events that Jade would recount...they both found themselves absorbed into their new selves for a long time, and soon forgot about their original purpose. There was too much to know and say about the new world to spend time trying to get back to the old.
