Trinity let out a breath of relief as she stepped out of her father's car. For goth girls, Zoe and Athena were capable of their fair share of girly talk, and she had been forced to endure it the entire trip to the show. Luckily, she seemed to be able to fake her way through the sections of the conversation where she was expected to weigh in.
She looked back at her two companions. Athena was wearing one of her standard long, Victorian type dresses and Zoe was wearing a black tank top, short black skirt, fishnet stockings, and knee high boots. Looking down at herself, and seeing the baggy black and purple pants and (admittedly) tight t-shirt, she saw why she had elicited the comments she had from the two.
*"You're going dressed like that?" Athena asked as she walked in.
"Yeah, why not?" Trinity shot back, looking Athena over.
"It's just...not your usual going out look." Zoe said. "You look like you might jump into the mosh pit."
"Maybe I will." Trinity said, smirking.
"Yeah, right." Athena said. "You would get destroyed in there."
"And you've always avoided those. Why would you want to try one all of a sudden?" Zoe asked.
"People can change, Zoe..." Trinity said, removing her father's keys from her pocket. "Now let's just go."*
Still looking down, Trinity had to admit that the two had a point. She didn't have Trevor's muscle backing her up any more. She probably would get hurt if she went into the pit.
"Doesn't mean I shouldn't try..." she mumbled, shaking her head.
"You coming, Trin?" Zoe asked.
"Yeah, yeah. Keep your stocking on." Trinity said, walking toward Zoe and Athena.
The three headed toward the building. It wasn't a huge venue, but it was still adequately sized.
As the three approached the door, they were greeted with two familiar faces. Mason and Drake were two goth boys who would sometimes hang out with them and their group.
"Ladies..." Mason said. "We figured some of your little clique would show up here tonight." Drake just looked the three over.
"Well, gee. It's not like we fucking told you that we liked these bands or anything." Zoe said.
"Such language is unbecoming, Zoe." Drake said.
"Whatever, let's just get in there." Trinity responded. "I feel stupid standing out here at the door."
The group headed in, with Trinity shaking her head.
