Jen, Karyn, Jade and Delia headed to The Shack, a small restaurant that was popular amongst the student population of their school. They all ordered their meals, finding themselves instinctively ordering the food that their new bodies would order, and sat at a table.

"This is bizarre." Jen said, looking at the chicken salad she had ordered. "I would never have gotten this before this whole thing went down."

"Same." Jade said. "This magic is powerful."

"A change in diet is the least of our concerns." Karyn said. "We need to figure out how to approach this."

"I don't think we should..." Delia said. "I mean, not directly. Maybe we can get Sarah to get some info from Ms. Holloway. If she already trusts Sarah, she may be more forthcoming than she would be with us."

"A good point." Jade said. "That may be the wisest way to go. For now."

The group continued to chat and eat for a little while. About halfway through their meal, they saw Steve Farber and Mike "The Moose" Matthews approach the table.

"Well, if it isn't our lovely new cheer squad." Steve said. "How are you ladies doing tonight?"

"We're fine, Steve." Jade said, continuing to eat. "Just trying to eat in peace."

"Ooh, temperamental today?" Steve asked. "You don't need to be like that. We're all friends here."

"What did you want, Steve?" Jen asked.

"Why do I need to want something to talk to such lovely ladies?"

"You always want something, Steve." Karyn said. "I don't think I've ever seen you do anything without some ulterior motive."

"She has a point Steve." Mike said.

"Shut it, Moose." Steve said. "All I wanted to do was invite you, and your whole little group, to a party next weekend."

"You're inviting us?" Delia asked.

"Of course. Wouldn't be a party without all of you there." Steve replied. "I trust that you'll spread word to your missing members?"

"Yeah, sure." Karyn said. "We'll let them know."

"Cool. I'll be setting up a Facebook thing for it too, so that'll have some more details. Peace, ladies." Steve said, walking away. Moose followed closely behind him.

"His parents must be going away next weekend." Jen said, shaking her head. "He always jumps on a chance to throw a party when that happens."

"He also usually uses that time as a chance to torture people he sees as nerds..." Jade said, bitterly. "Not that his parents do anything about it when they are around."

"And...we were invited?" Delia asked the other three.

"I guess it makes sense." Karyn said. "We are part of the popular group now, I guess."

"I've never been invited to anything like that." Delia said, quietly.

"Would you actually go?" Jen asked. "I mean, it's with the football team."

"I know, I know." Delia said. "It's just...nice to be included."

Jen and Karyn looked at each other, then returned to their meals.
