Until Jon's unintentional wish, there hadn't been a substance abuse scandal at his school. However, Jon, or rather Jen, as she was, was the only one who didn't know about the scandal.
Of course, scandal or not, not everyone knows the full story...except those involved.
This included the majority of the cheerleading squad except Sarah. Melissa Smith, Allison Wright, Amber Levine, Tiffany Sanders, Jessica Davis, and Erika Weber. It also included several other students.
But this wasn't the sort of drugs that Jon had initially thought. These were legal. These kids were abusing prescription drugs. These were drugs that were thought to help improve focus and grades, or to lose weight, or help anxiety.
That had been why it was such a shock. The school had discovered one case of a student having medication not prescribed to them, and the principal had gone on a search of the entire school.
