"...Tails!" Madison announced. "You're coming with me, then."
Jon looked out the window and wondered how the two of them could possibly get down and up. "How, though..."
Madison pulled out her stone again. "I wish there was a hidden bridge between our bedroom windows that we could walk across."
"You always seem to have the answers," Jon replied. Madison opened the window, and Jon followed, walking behind her and into a room that was simultaneously familiar and completely alien.
"Welcome to my room!" Madison's space was a bit neater than Jon's, though not by much. Some pictures hung on the wall, a makeup vanity sat in a corner that in Jon's space housed a seldom-used bookshelf, and there was a good bit of sheet music floating around. "Excuse all the music, been working on some violin projects."
"Oh wow! When did you start playing?" Jon asked.
"I think I got my first lessons when I was, like, 7 or 8?"
"My parents thought I'd be good at karate at that age. I wasn't."
"That does not sound interesting at all," Madison remarked. Jon shook his head.
"Is that a cheer uniform I see in one of the photos?"
"Yeah, when I started high school I tried the cheer squad, did freshman basketball for a year... That's how I met Tawnya." Jon looked at the cheer photo and recognized a few of the faces thanks to the wish they'd made before coming over: football players Biff Meadows and Danny Foster, plus Shane Carlson (surprisingly an Asian girl over here). Some were people he just didn't know at all. "Kinda glad I didn't do cheer after a year... That Hannah Haley girl is really annoying."
"Which one's that?" Jon asked. Madison pointed to the girl that Jon had recognized as being this world's Danny. "He's a football player where I come from."
"Oh wow. Bet you'll giggle when you see some of the football players here that you probably know as cheerleaders."
"Time for dinner!" a voice interrupted yelling from downstairs.
"Looks like we better head down," Madison declared.
