"This is totally fucked." Trinity said.
"Yeah, she can't really be allowed to do this, right?" Randi asked, looking at all of the others.
"It seems like she can." Karyn said. "You heard her. No one who wasn't present will even remember us from before."
"Not that big of a deal for you." Delia said. "You were barely changed. The rest of us, though..."
"Hey, I don't like being messed with any more than you guys. She still used he powers on me." Karyn replied.
"That is the most frightening part of all of this." Nadine said. "Her...abilities. They must be the work of Satan."
"Nonsense. There's no way that it's magic. Magic doesn't exist." Jade said. "Maybe...maybe nano-machines. Or...some sort of gas."
"Look, it doesn't matter how she did it." Jen said. "She did it, and now we need to deal with it."
"And how do you propose we do that, genius?" Trinity asked.
"I...don't know." Jen said, knowing she couldn't mention the stone.
At that, the gym doors opened, and the custodian walked in. "Now girls, I'm afraid you need to leave. School's gotta be cleaned and locked up."
"Sorry sir." Nadine said. "We were just leaving."
With that, the group exited the gym. Once outside, they looked around awkwardly.
"I...suppose I'll head home." Jade said. "If her words carried any credence, then my home should be different as well."
"That's true." Randi said. "You live near me, right? I can give you a lift, if you want."
"Really?" Jade asked, surprised.
"Well, yeah." Randi responded, looking down slightly. "I mean, you're on my way, and we're kinda stuck in this mess together, so..."
"Um, yeah. That would be appreciated." Jade said. With that, the two headed toward Randi's car.
"The geek and the jock have the right idea." Trinity said. "I'm outta here. Let me know if you actually come up with anything useful." she said, turning and walking away.
"I guess I'll head home too." Delia said. "Um...bye." she added, walking away.
"Jade had a good idea. I must see if my home has been altered. Good bye." Nadine said, as she began walking away, leaving Jen and Karyn alone.
"Well, seems it's just us." Karyn said.
"Yeah, I was worried that we'd need to make an excuse to get away from them so that we could use the stone." Jen said. "Luckily, they did that for us."
"Did you notice..." Karyn began.
"That we can only use our new names? Yeah, I did." Jen said. "Ms. Holloway messed with us a bit more than she seems willing to let on."
"Well, Jenny, let's get to your house and get things back to normal." Karyn said, beginning to walk away from the gym.
"Great idea. And, Karyn...?"
"Yeah?"
"If I ever give you crap about complaining about your bra straps again, you have every right to hit me." Jen said, adjusting her strap.
Karyn could only laugh.
