The light faded, and Brandon blinked to find the master emerald had disappeared altogether. In its place were a trio of young human boys. They were all identical, and something was familiar about their features, but Brandon couldn't figure out from where. He taped one heart tipped shoe down and glanced around, puzzled to find that Knuckles had disappeared. He shrugged, his wings flapping as he made the gesture.
Brandon glanced back at the appendages he didn't realize had just finished growing. Huh. He had forgotten about them, for some reason. Oh well, the emerald had disappeared, which meant he would have to find treasure elsewhere, he pushed off with his wings, the disproportionately small limbs lifting him into the air just fine. He flew off, gliding away from the temple and back towards civilization.
Brandon blinked, realizing something was wrong. Why did she keep referring herself as a he? After all, anyone could see she was clearly a female bat. And that name, Brandon. That clearly didn't suit someone like her at all. No, she needed something new...
Meanwhile, the shopkeeper looked at the scene on the screen with a sense of bewilderment. Brandon was done changing, but whatever he had done had made things incredibly weird. Now there were three of him, or rather who he used to be, and both the master emerald and knuckles were gone.
The shopkeeper tried the dreamcast controller experimentally, and sure enough found that he was unable to control the newly completed rouge. Something had most certainly gone awry.
Meanwhile, the three Brandons were each coming to their senses, shaking themselves and looking around the strange scene...
