My hands are up I am guilty of this- however by branching by nothingsp it was corrected and the reason I bow before your superior experience ;)
It is something I am aware of a lot lately. I tend to put down characters in the belief they will triumph in the end... But lately ive realised how grating it is as well as lazy writing especially when everyone is acting like... Well...jerks. even the good ones. I tend not to go that far.. I hope.
I could cite so many bad examples. It's especially annoying when all this angst is constant and all they do is get mad when it doesn't feel normal at some point. It's like the main character knows they are the star and can treat everyone else like that. I'm glad I'm not alone in this thinking though I do fear we are a minority. It seems in fashion to accept this is a 'normal' thing and reflects society in some way. It just does reflect me though.
It is in truth a reason I rarely watch any tv shows these days.
