"Oh, dear...you've done it now," he said
She peeked out at him, and then suddenly the area around the house seemed to shimmer...as if the streaming video that was the universe began to buffer. She paused. Maybe the man wasn't so crazy...at least not in the way she'd thought. "What do you mean?"
"Anything could happen now...hopefully the safeties didn't get disengaged." He grabbed the device. "I need to get this to my workshop and fix it before..." He suddenly vanished, along with his device.
Zoe blinked. Whatever was going on, this couldn't be good. Her anger and annoyance had vanished. She looked around, a bit scared at what was happening.
She turned and headed back inside. It was still early, and the house was extremely quiet. She headed back up to her room to figure things out. She sent a text to Athena and Zelda. She needed help.
