After Jon helped Athena to her feet, they made their way slowly to the closest school exit. On the way, they heard a commotion coming from the cafeteria and moments later, they heard the lunch room doors open. They both turned for just a second to see a crowd of people spilling out into the hallway. Quite a few of them were Goths, but there were also a good deal of bimbo types as well.
Athena seemed to attain a new motivation and her steps began to speed up, and before they knew it, they were outside of the school.
They had made it.
Now all Jon needed to do was get the stone and fix all of this, if he could. But did he want Athena to know about that? She might wonder why he'd want to go home so badly, given the circumstances.
