Jon and Karyn's teacher (Mrs. Williams) was staring at what appeared to be a ray gun on her desk. "It seems someone in this class is playing some sort of joke," she said. "While I wasn't looking, someone must have planted this thing on my desk. And they even labeled it." She showed the gun to the class, including Jon and Karyn. It was a weird-looking gun, like something out of an old sci-fi movie. Along the side of it were the words RANDOM GUN.
"I don't know who did this," Mrs. Williams announced to the class, getting a little irritated by the prank. "But it's not funny."
As she moved the gun around in her hands, looking more closely at it, maybe trying to find out who it belonged to, she accidentally pulled the trigger. She jumped, startled, when a green bolt of electricity flew out from the gun, striking her straight in the face.
She squeaked briefly before the green glow flashed around her for a second... when it subsided, Jon, Karyn and the rest of the class stared in shock.
