In another classroom just down the hall, Mike "The Moose" Matthews (a hulking linebacker in the high school football team, who was built like a moose and just as dumb) was looking through his math book. He was taking Algebra I this year because he flunked it the previous year. He just wasn't good at math.
But today he was. He couldn't understand how it could be, but he understood everything in that algebra book. It was no longer gibberish to him.
What neither Kyla nor Mike knew, as of yet, was that when Kyla bumped into Mike, math skills were transferred from the geek to the jock. But at the same time, skills were transferred the other way as well.
