Trevor Blake had been under the longest. The combination of drugs, visual and auditory stimuli had embedded the suggestions deep into his brain. It was time for some reinforcement.
The figure observing Trevor changed the input. The stimuli began to change. Now that Trevor had been conditioned to want it, it was time to educate him.
The film began to show different types of clothing, makeup, and hairstyles and what they were called. When it would show a particularly feminine example, it would reinforce it, but whenever it showed something less feminine, it would generate a negative instruction.
The net result was that Trevor would be guided toward classicly feminine items...but the idea of anything else would be distasteful to him.
While Trevor was working on his Stage 2, a new tape was loaded in for Steve Farber. Except it wasn't about clothing. The figure had determined that Steve would be a more difficult nut to crack.
His second tape was filled with images of naked men and women. Every time it showed a woman, the audio would tell him that he wanted to be like her...but the male images were accompanied by statements that Steve previously would have wanted to have been said about him, not by him.
But like Trevor, Steve's will had already been stripped away so he'd be ready to accept new instructions. Jon would be ready for instructions soon enough.
