Emilio took cover and took a shot with his shotgun, but missed. Nicolò was surprised with our guns. "Where the hell did you guys get all that!?" he said. "It was clear he was jealous with his handgun. We found it." I simply said. I smirked at him as he took his turn and took two more shots. One of them hit the thug that shot at me. He was almost down. I did not want to waste a shot on him. I used my "Bloody Shot" ability and shot the thug that was not hit yet. It was 35 damage and put the bleeding status on him. On his next turn, he would take bonus damage. They took their time taking their shots. Nicolò and Emilio both got shot. The bleeding guard took another 20 bleeding damage. My first shot was at the thug that hit me. I killed him before turning to the bleeding one and blasting him away. That left one more. He shot Nicolò with critical damage. That was bad. Emilio switched to the hand gun and took two shots. Both hit for 24 damage. Nicolò glared at him and yelled "Take this fucker!" as he blew the thug's brains out. Combat was done and I had the option of what to do. I took it over for myself.
Dive bars cost $2300. I put the money down and a count down appeared. It would take an in-game day before it could be opened. I could name it as I pleased. I decided to call it "Yellow Ink", It was in honor of the group from my background. That was pretty cool. We were going to need a place to stay. We could no longer stay in the small hideout with the Rosey Faces because we had all aged out. Maybe we should have gotten a safehouse after all. All factions need to have one to be official. That was the reason why the minor factions did not have one. I needed to find one to take over. If you took over management of an already established racket, it was free if you kept it the same. It is much cheaper than taking over the unaffiliated owned racket buildings. The downside was once war was declared or the relationship deteriorated enough, there would be much more guards and security that would actively seek me out and attack my things. That would be really bad if it was just me and Emilio doing it alone together. I saw another one of the thug owned racket buildings. We were in no shape to take it though.
I probably could go alone if I wanted to. It was just across the street. There was only enough use in the first aid kit to heal Nicolò and Emilio. I let them use it all and then I told them to wait. I brought my guns with me. I attacked the racket and there was only four thugs inside guarding it. I got the first shot off with my rifle and crit. That was a substantial 43 damage. I then shot him again to finish him off. They then all got into cover and one took a potshot at me. It missed and I smirked at him. The other two men came up to me and tried to bash me with a pipe and brick. The brick hit me in the collar bone. The pipe missed me. I switched to my handgun and took my free shot at the one with the brick. I then did Double Tap on the same guy. He died and I fired my last shot of the turn at the one with the pipe. I used Bloody Shot and got a crit. He swung at me and missed again. He almost died from the loss of blood. The gun wielding thug shot me with a handgun. I shot him back. I then killed the dumb guy with the pipe. I switched to the rifle and blew him away. I made it a brewery. It was called "Rose Buds".
Since I was the leader of the group, I had access to Emilio's money. It cut into his share of the seed money. That was more than okay with me. The new speakeasy and brewery would net us some good profits if we managed them well. The next place really needed to be a safehouse. I went back to the guys across the street and told them. Nicolò just frowned and said "You took out some small fry with that gun of yours. You're not going to be able to get that big before the big eight all come down on you." I just shrugged and said "We'll see about that." I was confident I could do it. Even if the owning rackets fell through, I could prove my usefulness and prowess to get a page in the Blue Codex. Emilio could be a mob doctor if he got better at healing. That would take some time though. We had nowhere to stay so we went back to the tattoo parlor. Miracle let us in and let us sleep in the back room for the night. It was safe and secure there at the least. We stayed in the lobby after we woke up. I thought it was cool to see everyone going around. Osmondo and Riccardo came for breakfast with Miracle.
