In one of the computer labs, Jay Duncan, Leonard Drullers, Carl James, and Walter Smukmeyer were playing a role playing game. They'd been allowed to put the game on the school network as long as they didn't play when they were supposed to be in class, and used headphones for sound.
The Goths weren't even in the building. Their early morning meeting place was behind the gym. Trevor Blake and Sabrina Johnson were sitting on a tree stump, talking. Nearby, Athena DeVries, Zoe Gibson, and Zelda Whitefield were talking about something that happened at the Spiked Pit that night. And Stephanie Wright was...nowhere to be found. She hadn't shown up that day.
