"Is there something wrong, Sarah?" Athena asked.
"My hair. It's black," Sarah replied.
"Of course it's black. What did you expect?"
Sarah stared at Athena, then another headache hit her. This one felt stronger than the last. When it passed, she looked at herself in the mirror again. Her skin was pale white! It was fairly obvious now what was happening to her. As impossible as it seemed, she was becoming one of those Goth freaks.
"Sarah?" Athena asked, reaching for her.
Sarah pulled away from her. "Stay away from me," she spat at Athena.
"I only want to help."
Then the mother of all headaches hit. This one was so strong that Sarah actually collapsed onto the floor and fell unconscious. After what was happening to her, though, she almost wished she would never wake up.
