"Come on, Sarah," said Athena. "We've been friends for at least three years."
"I would never be friends with you. I'm not even a Goth."
Athena looked at her oddly. "What do you mean? You're no less of a Goth than I am."
"What?" Sarah said, then turned and looked at herself in one of the hallway mirrors. She didn't look gothic in the slightest. What was this witch girl talking about? Was she completely blind? Or was she seeing something that Sarah wasn't?
Suddenly, Sarah had a pounding headache that seemed to come from nowhere. And then it disappeared as quickly as it came.
"Are you okay?" Athena asked.
Sarah looked up at her, then back at the mirror. She stared at her reflection. Everything about herself looked exactly the same as it had before, but now her blond hair was black. And not only that, her hair had blue highlights. What had happened? Did her headache cause that? It didn't seem possible. But then again, none of this seemed possible, yet it was all happening.
"Is there something wrong, Sarah?" Athena asked.
