Sarah convulsed, and before Karyn's eyes, began to change.
It started in her feet. they burst out of her shoes, the individual toes fusing together, the arches falling, and the entire structure hardening. It spread into her legs. She screamed.
She was turning to metal before Karyn's eyes, stiffening, her joints turning to ball and socket joints, her muscles to motors. It reached her head, and the screaming stopped.
Her long blonde hair turned into thousands of silvery threads, forming a series of antennas out of a radio transmitter that was now part of her person. The transmitter associated itself with a nearby wireless network, retrieving instructions. A disc popped out of a slot in Sarah's stomach.
A recorded message began to play. "This message is from Hackers Unlimited. This system been infected with the Bot Virus."
Sarah had been infected with a computer virus...
