Phoebe ran into the examination room five observation room, but there was no sign of Doctor Mitchell. Where was he? She looked into the examination room through the window, but there was no sign of him there either. Didn't Mary say something about Susan being there too? There was no sign of her either.
Jon looked around the corner, making sure no one saw him. He had easily slipped out of the examination room unnoticed, but there was no one in that room to see him leave. The hospital was swarming with people. Doctors, nurses, patients, visitors, janitors, security guards, paramedics, cops. It was like navigating an obstacle course. Susan's high heels made the journey more difficult. He thought about taking the shoes off, but he thought that might attract more attention, causing people to ask what happened to his shoes. No, he'd just have to be extra careful until he got the hang of walking in heels. (Really, though, he didn't want to get used to it. He wanted to get back in his own body, if that was at all possible.)
He slowly made his way down the hall, back towards his room. But then he paused. Was that the best idea? Maybe he should leave the hospital and go find Karyn like he was going to do earlier. He couldn't do anything for his comatose body. Little did he know, though, Karyn was in the one place he was trying to avoid - his hospital room.
