Diane and Michelle got to Deerfield and lived down the hall from Joann and Penny. Celeste and Megan were roommates on the floor below. Caleb was rooming with a guy from the football team. As Michele, Celeste was part of the study group instead of Caleb. All 5 girls in the group were taking the advanced courses, including AP US history.
The first few weeks were great. Michelle was on the varsity soccer team as a midfielder with Celeste and the others were involved in the fall play. The girls were doing well in their coursework and they did play some videogames. Penny had a hidden talent playing first person shooters and Michelle realized she was very comfortable playing Animal Crossing. It was the end of the fourth week that was not great. Michelle woke up one morning feeling a little nauseated and felt like she had some bad indigestion. She did have the hamburger surprise last night, so she went about her morning to get ready for classes. Getting her pants on for her first class was a little more difficult that usual. Girl pants were tight, but this was ridiculous. She had trouble focusing the first couple classes and was tempted to go to the school nurse. When the headache stated, she decided enough was enough. Maybe she had the flu? She went into the nurses office, and got her temperature checked, had some questions asked of her and had a bit of exam done. It was while she was at the nurses office that she felt a little tenderness in her breasts. She started to rub them a little bit, and then the nurse asked a question Michelle never had to answer before. "When was your last period?" Michelle looked at the nurse, and didn't answer the question. It all made sense. She had never been Michelle long enough to get one, and now she was about 4 weeks in. Michelle replied "4 weeks ago," and then said thank you while getting the health office note and walked quickly back to her room. She went to her underwear drawer and pulled out the necklace and put in on. The stomach cramps immediately ended, and she understood more fully why Krista shifted every month. Michelle took off the necklace, and put it away. She made sure to put it on when the PMS symptoms were about to start, but just long enough to "reset" her system. The soccer team had a winning season and Michelle was actually starting by the end of it with Celeste. Classes ended with a strong academic performance and only 1 pedicure. It was a pretty good trimester for Michelle. She felt a bit odd being MIkey over Thanksgiving break, but got back in the swing of it after 24 hours. Mikey caught up with Jon and his time in Asia and the start of his second year of college. Apparently, he was going to graduate early and go straight into the MBA program. Mikey knew why, but still felt proud of his brother. Before she knew it, Michelle was back at Deerfield playing Volleyball for the winter term.
