Jon almost made it to the elevator, when suddenly someone called out Nurse Williams' name. He continued his way towards the elevator, pressing the down button when he finally arrived. He was trying to ignore whoever was calling out the nurse's name, thinking that they might give up.
Fortunately, the person did give up, giving Jon freedom to enter the elevator and head down the first floor. Once on the ground floor, it was an almost uneventful walk through the hall and then out the doors. Almost uneventful meaning that Jon stumbled a few more times on Susan's heels. How did women walk with these things?
He waited outside between the main entrance and the parking lot, hoping to spot Karyn before she entered the hospital.
