Things settled down after they were returned to their cells. I came time to see who would have each bunk. Ghoststrike wanted the top bunk. Orion let him have it without a fuss. That did make it easier for them to get along. In an hour, the lights went out in the block. The guards took the roll call very seriously. When they got to the cell we were in, they noticed we switched uniforms. "Wanted a looser fit, huh?" one of the guards remarked. "Well, if it was too tight, you couldn't have too much fun with him in there." the other guard said. That confirmed my suspicions. "By the way. The paperwork came just came in half an hour ago. The crown has set your execution date in a week and has refused your appeal. You are officially a dead man walking." the first guard said. Ghoststrike did not give them any reaction. "Death row inmates have to be moved to Block F the day after they get the notice. I will take you in the morning. Maybe in more ways than one." he added before they continued taking the roll call. I was not worried. 'We'll be out long before then.' I told him. He just grunted out loud.

Ghoststrike climbed up to his bunk and laid down. Orion wished him a good night. He sounded upset. I would be too if I learned I gave up my ass for nothing in return. "It is okay, Orion. I already accepted your payment. We're getting out of here." That was a bold statement. I was not expecting it of him. 'Getting soft after one fuck, ninja?' I teased. 'I finish the mission for my clients. He paid me and I already accepted it.' he told me. That was fine with me. He was a consummate professional after all. After he fell asleep, I began draining him. After two hours, I was 302.5 grams. I felt that it was okay for the first night. When morning came, the guards entered the cell and took us to Block F, death row. Ghoststrike walked with the grace and confidence of his profession. When he was thrown in the cell, we were soon alone. 'Night 1 was a success. It should be ready in two more days.' 'Is there a real reason we can't break out now?' he asked. I paused. 'It is an energy drain. You of all people should know you are not 100%' I told him. Ghoststrike rotated his left shoulder in peak irritation.

A notification came across my menu. I had to check it. It was from the Villain's Gallery. It said "You may be aware that Ghoststrike, the villain ranked 19th on the board in the country of Engkep, has been sentenced to a swift death. It was a hard legal battle and the losses were severely mitigated. For that we shall award one of our villains, the ooze of Hartman, some points." I checked and I was within a stones throw from the 10 of Spades. I then went back to the notification. "The powers that be in Engkep seek to demoralize us and placate the vermin and sheeple of the citizenry. We simple cannot allow that. Therefore we, the Jokers, have devised a game." it read. I was kind of interested about what they would do. The notice continued, saying "The people want an execution. We of the Villain's Gallery will refuse them one. In that vein, we are offering a 3.9 million point bounty on whosoever kills the fallen ninja Ghoststrike. We are also offering 9 million to whosoever breaks him out of the supermax prison." the cards of the gallery were like a parabola. It just kept getting higher.

With the generous bonus, I was given 1 million points. The 10 of Spades was sitting at 1.01 million points. The 9 was at 1.02 million. 8 had 1.04 million. The rank 7 villain had 1.083 million. The person ranked 6th had 1.173 million. The 5 of Spades had 1.375 million. The 4 had 1.84 million. That was where things got interesting and shot off to the races. the 3 of Spades had a massive 3.574 million. The Deuce of Spades was sitting on 12.772 million points. The Ace had 163.134 million. The face cards were astronomical. The mighty Jack had 26.612 billion. The Queen had 708.229 trillion points. That left the King of Spades, the lord of the villains in the country. It was a totally unthinkable 501.588 sextillion points. That was more points than anyone could make. However that did not mean that the king was untouchable. The #1 hero certainly could defeat them. That, or a rival could take them out. A 9 million point boon would easily make me 3 of Spades. I would be immediately launched up to the top echelon of the villain society. I told him the news. "Let them try. We'll be out in days." he said.
