Seeing that I was representing two of the three, I needed to get all the paperwork ready. I knew what I needed to get because of my skill points in Law. I got all the way to the library and printed out the necessary paperwork. It then was up to me to bring it back with a pen for them to sign. I also typed up my leading arguments to the court. It was going to be fun. Because I wanted to make sure that things were going well, I worked extra hard. When I got back to the station, I gave them the paperwork to sign for me to defend them. I was also called in for their questioning. All four of them were there. Fat Cat had his team and I was there for Quickflash and Redstroke. There is nothing quite like a police interrogation. Quickflash and Redstroke signed the paperwork. No one was representing Ghostmark. Due to the political and serious nature of the situation, there was a grilling by the police chief of the city. After that, royal prosecutors from the capital came down. They were charging them with everything they could. It was 50 counts of homicide, 12 of attempted homicide, 53 of extortion and 3 of grand larceny.

That was just for Quickflash and Redstroke. Ghostmark got lots of conspiracy charges added on as he was the leader of the group. Fat Cat was smiling very wide. I was sure he should be. With all of his money he was near untouchable. He got racketeering, drug and human trafficking, homicide and rape charges. They all got kidnapping and breaking and entering added on the end in relation to my trap. It was enough to give each of the villains a death penalty. They wanted us to agree to multiple life sentences in prison without any opportunity for parole. That was not acceptable. The team for Fat Cat lobbied and argued quite nicely and was able to plea down to a mere months in jail for breaking and entering When they turned to me, I said "You don't have any proof for half of the things on the list. Of that flimsy half, there is nothing definitive that shows either of my clients did the actual deeds you describe. You're going to have to have something better or I'm going to get them all thrown out." They looked at me in anger. They tried to brow beat me and them into pleading. We did not do it.

Having them angry at me did not matter. The court date was the next day. They were really rushing this along. I had to rush to the library and write up my motion to have the court dismiss all of the charges that they had no real outstanding evidence in order to prosecute them on. That should trim the fat a bit. When I was done, I saw that I was being watched. It did not bother me. There was no way I was marked this early. I only just started using this form. It was probably some of the goons the prosecutors used to tail me. That pissed me off a bit. It meant that I was going to need to sleep in a hotel. There really was not way I could go to the house. The next day, I was in court with everyone involved. The court started with Fat Cat. He plead guilty to breaking and entering and was given a four month sentence. The court read out all of the charges alleged for the Green Ninja Trio. All three plead they were Not Guilty. I then presented my motion to dismiss charges. "This is becoming a lynching! The crown has no proof for many of these charges. They want to pin cold cases on my clients to hide incompetence." I said.

It made the judge call me and the prosecutor to her chamber. "Explain yourself. Great claims need great evidence." I nodded and looked at the prosecutor. "That is exactly the point, your honor. The crown prosecutor hasn't given the great evidence needed to show that these charges are anything but frivolous and speculation." That seemed to be a good response and a minigame began. I had to pick out the correct choice of four for the questions and statements given to me by the judge and prosecutor. I missed a couple, but was doing a good enough job. In the end, I was able get the judge to have the prosecutor look over the crown prosecutor's evidence for the case. "I hope you have a reason for these charges and can defend everyone beyond reasonable doubt." the judge said. The crown prosecutor was furious. I kept my smile off my face. We then went back to the courtroom. The prosecutor has two days to present the evidence for the charges in this case for the court and the defense. We were the dismissed. That was a sign. A better sign was when the crown prosecutor came over to me.
