"Now it's time for you to try on a little make-up," Zoe announced.
"By which I hope you mean a lot of make-up," Jon deadpanned, even though he was practically giddy at the idea. He felt that soon, he would be able to recognize who he truly was...who he had become...in the mirror.
"Well, I mean, we are Goths, sis," said Zoe and both of them giggled. Jon was surprised to find that when he giggled, he was now sounded exactly like a girl (and surprised again by how little that bothered him). He knew his masculinity was fading fast...soon it would be like dead leaves blown aside by a chill autumn wind; like a poor little boy lost in a stone labyrinth, only to be consumed entirely by that feminine darkness which was even now encroaching upon him, like....like...
Jon was straining to think of a non-gothic metaphor for his position.
"That we are," he said, cutting off his own thoughts.
"Your throne awaits, m'lady," Zoe said, issuing him over to the chair that she had pin front of her mirror.
Jon was still taken with just how wonderful it felt to be wearing his stately Victorian attire. He seated himself delicately, trying to be as ladylike as possible, which caused his sister to suppress a laugh.
"You've still got a while to go yet, sis."
And Jon saw with some small dismay that she was right. Although his dress exaggerated his femininity, he would have estimated that he was still no more than sixty percent female. And that stupid, boyish haircut he still sported!
"The make-up will help," he said. "Tide me over until this change is through."
"You're really enjoying this, aren't you?" Asked Zoe.
Jon decided that it didn't suit a goth to be indecisive. "Yes, actually I am."
Zoe laughed. "Well...we'll see how much you like being a girl after you've had your first period. But let's get started..."
GPAD had left Jon looking sick and pale. As the make-up was applied, this effect was exaggerated to the point of making him look almost corpse-like. His sister covered his face in a very pale foundation, and then added black eye shadow. The look was rounded out with blood-red lipstick and nail polish, both specially picked to match Jon's Victorian dress. Just a toch of dark blush was added to accentuate Jon's cheekbones.
When it was all done, the effect was somewhat vampiric...and very, very feminine.
