Zoe pulled up to Athena's house and parked on the street. She popped the trunk and got out of the car. Reaching into the trunk, she pulled out her guitar. She smiled as she remembered her mother finally folding and allowing her to take lessons. It had been alot of hard work to get as good as she was, but it was well worth it.

She slammed the trunk shut and walked up to the door. She rung the doorbell and waited. After a moment, she heard footsteps, and the door opened. Zoe looked up and saw Mrs. Hopkins, Athena's mother, standing there.

"Hello, Zoe. How are you today?" she asked.

"Pretty good, Mrs. Hopkins. How are you?" Zoe asked.

"Fine, fine. Athena's in the garage. Getting ready for your practice. Please try to keep it down today. I don't want the neighbors complaining again." Mrs. Hopkins said, frowning.

"We'll try to control ourselves." Zoe said, smiling a bit. "Thanks." With that, Zoe walked away from the front door and to the garage door. She knocked on it, and waited for her friend to open the door.

When it finally opened, Zoe stepped in. "About time you got here." Athena said, brushing a lock of blue hair out of her eyes. "You scored the car today? Sweet deal."

"Yeah, I doubt Jon will be too thrilled, but he can deal with it. He gets to use the damn thing more than I do." Zoe said, placing her guitar case on the floor and opening it up. "Plus, I need to pick up some more stings and I may get a new amp, so we can journey down to the music store in the mall a bit later."

"Yeah, but how about we practise first. We do have a show tommorow night." Athen said, sitting at her drum set.

"Hey, I'm ready to practice." Zoe said, plugging her guitar into the amp and putting the strap over her shoulders. "Oh, and your mom asked us to keep it down."

"Yeah, yeah. Like I haven't heard that a thousand times. She just wishes I played the violin, or something stupid like that." Athena said, chuckling as she twirled her drum stick. "Anyway, enough chatter, let's get down to this."

And with that, the pair began to play.
