Jon made it back to the clothing store, where his parents were, without any problems. The mall really was deserted.
He opened the door and walked in.
"Mom? Dad? Where are you?" he called out.
The store lights were on, so he should have been able to spot them fairly easily. But he didn't, because they weren't there. Where did they go?
Jon made his way to the back of the store. Maybe they were hiding in the back room. Jon decided to check.
