“Are you sure?” Principal Casey asked, frowning as he placed his hands under his chin.
Miss Oakley nodded. “Every student that has come to see me today has complained of a searing headache, and their friends have reported that they had been acting rather strangely before the headache.”
Principal Casey burrowed his eyebrows.
“Strange?” He repeated. “How?”
Rachel shrugged her shoulders.
“One boy was acting rather sullen and had a falling out with his girlfriend, another girl was suddenly more attentive and studious than normal. And I’m pretty sure that I saw one boy wearing a bra.”
“A bra?”
Rachel nodded.
“And right now I have a boy and a girl in my office. I know that the girl is normally a tomboy but today she’s wearing makeup and even carrying a purse and the boy? He was wearing nail polish.”
Principal Casey sighed and ran his fingers through his black hair. He could have done without this today. He had enough going on as it was.
