"Jon? Is that you?"
"Karyn, I can't believe it. You're here too?"
They were about to hug, but instead of embracing, they walked right through each other, like they were both ghosts.
"What the hell?" Jon said, in frustration.
"What? What's going on?" Karyn said, in confusion.
They turned towards each other.
Was this just another illusion or maybe a trick? "Is that really you Karyn?"
"Of course, it's me. What ... what's going on? How did I get here? One moment I'm in bed and then the next I'm ..."
Another boom in the distance. This time, the ground shook, just a bit.
"What is that?" Karyn asked.
"I don't know." He saw Karyn staring at him. "What?"
"Jon? Did you know that you're only wearing your underwear?"
"Only for the past hour or so. Now, come on. We have to find out what's going on."
Jon and Karyn walked down the road, in the direction that Karyn came from.
