Karyn got up and started walking away. Jon held the rock close to his face and whispered, "I wish Sarah didn't think I'm a loser."
The stone flashed and Jon felt tingles all over his body. Sarah came back towards Jon and said "Hey, Jon. Are you coming to the party tonight?" She seemed anxious for Jon to say yes.
"Uh, sure."
She smiled. "Great. I'll tell everyone you're coming." Sarah and Karyn (now a cheerleader) walked away, talking with each other, like they really were friends.
What exactly happened to me? Jon thought. He got up from the table and looked at his reflection in a nearby mirror. Wow! was all he thought. He had become incredibly handsome. And muscular. By Sarah's reaction, Jon might actually be one of the most popular guys at school. He definitely wasn't a loser anymore.
