"We're going to play a little game. I know it's cliched, giving you a sporting chance and all that, but where's the fun if there's no danger?"
The Wanderer smiled. He'd never felt quite so powerful. Drawing directly from it's power, the stone had completely rejuvenated him. And destroying universes was nothing compared to the little things, as he'd learned during one of his past escapades.
Another thing he'd learned during that time was that of all the various tortures he could inflict on mortals, he had quite the affinity for transformations both physical and mental. Those were always his favorites because the reactions were so unpredictable in the face of that sort of helplessness and deep violation. Some of them even liked it.
But who to choose? He wanted at least one of them to be spared from the bulk of any changes, both for variety and so they had the chance to help the victim.
