Jon was about to leave his bedroom, to go visit Karyn, but before he could, a pulsing shock wave shot through his bedroom. And right before his eyes, his room began to change.
When it was all done, he looked around with wide eyes. Not only did the contents of his room change, but also the room itself. It was larger, there was a walk-in closet instead of a normal one, and the ceiling was higher (now with a small chandelier-type light hanging down from it).
And Jon was different too. He looked in his mirror and noticed that his clothes were a bit more preppy than before, like he belonged to a fraternity, or something.
What had happened? He thought that his wish would only change his family's personalities. Not reality itself. But apparently he was wrong.
He wondered which member of his family could have done this. Whoever it was, though, it was obvious now that his family was a lot richer than they were before. Maybe even at the McMillan level.
Jon left his room, to see what else had changed.
