After Jon finished his slice of pizza, he looked up and saw Kyla walking towards one of the "popular crowd" tables. What's she doing? Jon thought to himself.
She seemed to stumble and fall into Karyn, who was sitting at the table, eating a salad.
"Watch it, you freak!" Karyn yelled out. This attracted a lot of attention from the others in the cafeteria. Kyla didn't say anything. She just got up off of Karyn and walked away. Maybe no one else saw it, but Jon was pretty sure that Kyla was smiling. Then it hit him. He knew what that was all about. Kyla must have added her potion to Karyn's lunch.
Karyn looked like she was going to stand up and charge after Kyla, but then stopped and sat back down.
"That was a close one," Sarah commented. "For a minute there, I thought we'd actually get to see a fight."
It wouldn't matter. With Karyn being poisoned, Kyla would be the winner, Jon thought.
